Getting started
4 questions- With an app
In the CurseForge or Wago app, select “Forever” as the game version, then install Farscribe.
- By hand
Download the ZIP and unzip it into
World of Warcraft\_forever_\Interface\AddOns\, so that a folder namedFarscribesits there.
World of Warcraft\/Applications/Click a path to select all of it, then copy.
<your account> is your account’s folder name. The file holds all characters of that account and grows with every session.
The game writes the file only on /reload or when you log out. After a crash,
everything since the last save is lost. A /reload now and then keeps you safe.
Look for a small dot on the edge of the minimap.
- GreenRecording.
- YellowRecording, but the game gives no position (for example in a dungeon).
- GrayPaused.
Right-click the dot to pause or resume, drag it to move it.
What it does
5 questions- Travel Routes, flights, teleports, discovered areas.
- Progress Quests, level-ups, XP, professions, reputation.
- Combat Kills, deaths, boss attempts, rares, duels.
- Gear and gold Loot, equipment, income, spending, auction house.
More as it grows. Try the demo to see it on an invented character.
The game tells addons no position inside dungeons, raids and battlegrounds. Kills, loot and other events are still recorded, just not on the map.
Yes. One file per account holds them all.
It only reads what the game shows addons. It automates nothing.
Type /farscribe (or /fscribe) followed by one of these:
